Brief Introduction to
China-Africa Business Council
The China-Africa Business Council (CABC) is jointly
founded by the China Society for Promotion of the
Guangcai Program, the United Nations Development
Programme and the Ministry of Commerce/China
International Center for Economic & Technical Exchanges.
It is a non-governmental organization. Non-state-owned
businesses are the principal participants and
beneficiaries of CABC.
The aim of CABC is to provide a practical business tool
to facilitate the strengthening of business ties between
China and Africa . It pursues to actively guide Chinese
non-state-owned businesses in their "going out"
strategy, support them in partnering with African
companies to discover and expand new markets, contribute
to Guangcai international exchanges and cooperation
programme, enhance its international influence, and
create an enabling environment for China-Africa economic
and technical cooperation through a network of national
and international partners to promote China-Africa
cooperation and South-South cooperation.
Services provided by the China-Africa Business Council
• To provide information for enterprises from both China
and Africa to explore local resources, set up joint
ventures, train human resources, conduct trade and
investment research, etc. via the utilization of modern
technologies such as internet and database.
• To organize business missions in African countries for
members of CABC, receive delegations from Africa and
other international partners, and expand communicating
channels to promote economic and trade exchanges and
cooperation.
• To provide opportunities for members of CABC to share
experience and learn from each other, and strengthen
their capacity to address challenges through activities
such as training, symposium, workshop and forum.
• To reflect the requests and help protect the legal
rights of members of CABC.
• To enhance communication and coordination and help
solve disputes among the members.
