Embu County is located in Eastern Kenya. Temperature range between 12 °C to 27. °C. average annual rainfall is 1495mm. The county’s administrative capital is Embu Town and is served by 4 Local Authorities (Embu and Runyenjes Municipal Councils, County Councils of Embu and Mbeere).

Communities living in Embu County have a historical trading background and have thus turned the county into a trading centre and a commercial hub. High Altitude training is done by athletes in the high altitude regions of the county. This is possible because of the regions closeness to Mount Kenya.

Forest cover hosts a great number of flora and fauna and further development in this sector could see a rise in tourists to the area.

With sufficient water resources, agriculture is prevalent owing to existence of several rivers that flow trough the county. Conservation measures could  see the county become water secure with the consequent rise in both agricultural production and household incomes. The county is endowed with a good mix of both primary and tertiary education institutions.
