ESTABLISHMENT
The Investment Promotion Centre (IPC) was established by
the Government of Kenya through the Investment Promotion Centre
Act, Cap 485 of 1986 with the mandate of promoting private
investments in Kenya by both local and foreign investors.
The Act was further amended in 1992 to empower IPC to issue
Certificate of General Authority immediately to investments
that have no security, health or environmental implication.
The Investment Promotion Centre is managed by a Board of Directors
drawn from the public and private sectors. Its day-to-day
management is headed by a Managing Director. The organization
has four departments namely:
- Research and Policy
- Investment Promotion
- Investor Services
- Corporate Services
